The motif is presenting veduta of the Provincial Palace in Ljubljana (16th cent.), where in 1821 the famous Congress of the Holfy Alliance was held, which was attended by the Emeror of Austria, the Russian Tsar, the King of Naples and a number of other important contemporary era diplomats. After the 1895 earthquake, the present palace was built and is used as the seat of the University of Ljubljana since 1919.
