The motif is presenting Robba's Fountain, which is noted as one of the highest quality stone public fountains between Venice and Vienna in the middle of the 18th century. The fountain stood in Ljubljana's Town square in front of the Town hall, where a replica is now set, the original fountain is exhibited at the National Gallery from 2008 onwards. The pillar of the fountain is dominated by the modern era emblem of the city of Ljubljana, which was designed by Franc Valt Jurečič in 1992.
